VPN keeps turning off?

It's not an app issue. Your phone's system closes VPN in the background.

Why is this happening and how to fix it?

What's happening

Android closes background apps to save battery — even ones that barely use any. Tuman VPN gets caught in the same net.

What to do

Add Tuman VPN to battery exceptions. It won't affect battery life — VPN already uses minimum power.

Rarely stops VPN

Steps

1
Adjust battery saver
Open: Settings → Battery → Battery saver (called "STAMINA" on older Sony phones)
On newer phones, add Tuman VPN as an exception. On older phones, turn battery saver off entirely.
2
Add to power-saving exceptions
Open: Settings → Apps & notifications → Advanced → Special app access → Power-saving feature → Tuman VPN → Excepted
Apps on the exception list keep running even when power saving is on.
3
Turn off adaptive battery
Open: Settings → Battery → Adaptive Battery → off
Adaptive battery learns app usage patterns, but VPN doesn't fit the pattern.
4
Turn off battery optimization
Open: Settings → Battery → three dots (top right) → Battery optimization → All apps → Tuman VPN → Don't optimize
This removes the system's per-app power limit.

Always-on VPN
For maximum stability, also enable Always-on VPN — it keeps the connection live even if the app briefly restarts.
Settings → Network → VPN → Tuman VPN → Always-on VPN
