VPN keeps turning off?

It's not an app issue. Your phone's system closes VPN in the background.

Why is this happening and how to fix it?

What's happening

Android closes background apps to save battery — even ones that barely use any. Tuman VPN gets caught in the same net.

What to do

Add Tuman VPN to battery exceptions. It won't affect battery life — VPN already uses minimum power.

Samsung

Often stops VPN
Screenshots may look different on your version of the system.

Steps

1
Disable Adaptive Battery
Settings → Battery → More battery settings → Disable "Adaptive battery"
This prevents Samsung from automatically restricting background apps. Adaptive battery setting disabled
2
Remove from Sleeping Apps
Settings → Battery → Background usage limits → Check "Sleeping apps" and "Deep sleeping apps" lists → Remove Tuman VPN
Samsung re-adds apps after 3 days of non-use! Sleeping apps list showing Tuman VPN removed
3
Add to Never Sleeping Apps
Settings → Battery → Background usage limits → Never sleeping apps → Add Tuman VPN
This prevents Samsung from putting the app back to sleep. Never sleeping apps list with Tuman VPN added
4
Disable Battery Optimization
Settings → Apps → Tuman VPN → Battery → Battery optimization → Don't optimize
Standard Android Doze exemption.
5
Lock in Recent Apps
Open recent apps → Long-press Tuman VPN icon → "Keep open"
Prevents the app from being cleared from memory. Keep open option in recent apps

Warning
Samsung may reset these settings after firmware updates. Check them again if VPN stops working after an update.
Always-on VPN
For maximum stability, enable: Settings → Network → VPN → Tuman VPN → Always-on VPN
