VPN keeps turning off?

It's not an app issue. Your phone's system closes VPN in the background.

Why is this happening and how to fix it?

What's happening

Android closes background apps to save battery — even ones that barely use any. Tuman VPN gets caught in the same net.

What to do

Add Tuman VPN to battery exceptions. It won't affect battery life — VPN already uses minimum power.

Screenshots may look different on your version of the system.

Steps

1
Allow auto start-up
Open: Settings → Apps → Tuman VPN → Allow auto start-up → on
This lets the VPN come back on by itself after you restart your phone. Auto start-up allowed for Tuman VPN
2
Allow background running
Open: Settings → Apps → Tuman VPN → Power saver → Allow background running
Power saver pauses apps in the background — this exception keeps VPN connected. Background running allowed in Power saver
3
Turn off battery optimization
Open: Settings → Apps → Tuman VPN → Battery usage → off
This removes the system's per-app power limit. Battery usage optimization turned off
4
Lock in recent apps
Go to: Recent apps → long-press Tuman VPN → tap the lock icon
Locked apps stay in memory and keep running.

Always-on VPN
For maximum stability, also enable Always-on VPN — it keeps the connection live even if the app briefly restarts.
Settings → Network → VPN → Tuman VPN → Always-on VPN
