VPN keeps turning off?

It's not an app issue. Your phone's system closes VPN in the background.

Why is this happening and how to fix it?

What's happening

Android closes background apps to save battery — even ones that barely use any. Tuman VPN gets caught in the same net.

What to do

Add Tuman VPN to battery exceptions. It won't affect battery life — VPN already uses minimum power.

Steps

1
Disable Battery Optimization
Settings → Apps → Gear Icon → Special Access → Battery Optimization → Tuman VPN → Don't optimize
OnePlus may randomly revert this setting! Battery optimization disabled for Tuman VPN
2
Lock in Recent Apps
Open recent apps → Long-press Tuman VPN → Tap Lock icon
This prevents the optimization setting from being reverted. App locked in recent apps
3
Disable Deep/Adaptive Optimization
Settings → Battery → Battery optimization → Three dots → Advanced optimization → Disable both "Deep optimization" and "Sleep standby optimization" Advanced optimization settings with both options disabled

Warning
OnePlus resets battery optimization settings after firmware updates. Check these settings after every update.
Always-on VPN
For maximum stability, enable: Settings → Network → VPN → Tuman VPN → Always-on VPN
